Abstract: This paper is designed in order to have a smooth start to the three phase Induction Motor based on the Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) firing triggered process by delaying the firing angle heavily while starting and reducing the delay gradually until it reaches zero voltages triggering. During starting, motor results low voltage, then gradually increases to full voltage. Thus motor initially starts slowly, then gradually rotate with full speed.
Keywords: Induction Motor, Firing Angle, Zero Voltage Triggering, Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR).
Scope of the Article: Low-power Design
